Peanut Party!
Who:
• Babies 4–12 months old who have not yet tried peanut butter
• Parents worried about peanut allergy
When:
Sunday, May 18th • 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Where:
Empower Allergy Treatment
15706 Pomerado Rd. Suite S104, Poway, CA 92064
Why:
Early introduction of peanut into a baby’s diet has been shown to REDUCE the risk of the baby developing peanut allergy by over 80%! Sometimes the idea of giving your precious child peanut butter and the fear of possibly causing an allergic reaction can cause parents to delay early introduction and may actually increase the risk of a food allergy.
What:
Dr. Susan Laubach, a well-known pediatric food allergy specialist, will host a 2-hour opportunity to feed your baby an age-appropriate serving of peanut under a doctor’s supervision. During the observation period after the feeding, we will discuss a variety of allergy topics including how to recognize and treat different types of food allergies, eczema, asthma, and environmental allergies in infants. Although unlikely, any reactions to peanut will be treated immediately and a full, personalized evaluation can be scheduled.
How:
For only $100 per parent/baby, come introduce peanut in a stress-free environment under medical supervision and get all your questions answered about food allergy and more! Prices increase May 1, 2025. Get tickets.

Food allergies occur when the immune system mistakenly reacts to proteins in certain foods. These reactions can range from mild symptoms like hives to severe conditions like anaphylaxis. Treatment involves avoiding allergenic foods, using medications to manage reactions, and in some cases, oral immunotherapy to desensitize the immune system. An allergist can help develop a personalized treatment plan for your child. Learn more about our services here.
If your child shows symptoms like hives, stomach issues, or difficulty breathing after eating, you should consult an allergist. Early diagnosis can prevent severe reactions and guide treatment. If you’re unsure whether a food allergy is causing symptoms, an allergist can provide clarity through testing. It's also important if there’s a family history of food allergies.
If your child experiences symptoms like swelling, stomach pain, or breathing issues after eating certain foods, testing can help identify the cause. Testing is also recommended if there’s a family history of allergies or if you're unsure about which foods might be triggers. An allergist can assess whether food allergy testing is necessary based on symptoms and medical history. Contact us today to schedule your consultation.
